Actual shoot location(s) are TBD but will be in the East Bay within 15-20 minutes of Castro Valley. I am currently looking for parks that don't get too crowded on the weekends, with shade/tree coverage, and easy parking. If you have any suggestions feel free to recommend a location when contacting me at scott@scottroederphotography.com for a reservation.

How many people are allowed?

Up to 8 family members (within the same immediate family). There may be a fee associated with any sessions containing more the 8 immediate family members. There will be an additional fee for any sessions containing multiple families or anyone else outside of the same immediate family.

When will we receive our photos?

You will receive an email containing your gallery link and password approximately 3 weeks after your session. Turnaround will begin to speed up a bit as the holidays approach, to ensure enough time to send out cards. 

Note: I aim to deliver all fall mini session galleries by December 1st.

What if there’s rain or smoke in the forecast?

Each scenario is unique and requires a different approach. This may include: an alternative location that can accommodate rain, a rescheduled day, a refund, or a personalized approach. Due to the close proximity to the holidays, I can not guarantee a backup day, in which case, you will be offered a refund or you may convert your session to credit, which can be used at a later date.

Can we bring our pet?

Unfortunately, I have a no pet policy for mini-sessions due to location constraints. Additionally, we will get significantly less photos when pets are present.

Can I switch my day/time?

Due to the time it takes to handle the administrative tasks required for switching reservation times, and the difficulty/effort it takes to refill sessions last minute, I have strict day/session change fees. Here is the fee schedule based on time prior to your photoshoot:

Over 15 Days: $25

7-14 Days: $50

2-6 Days: $100

1 or Same Day: $200

Note: Fees waived if you are able to find someone to purchase/fill your spot. Please send me an email to coordinate.

Will you be adding more sessions?

In past years I've been too busy to offer mini sessions and I'm so excited to finally have time to open my schedule for these fall photoshoots. With the unprecedented circumstances happening this year (covid, fires, etc), I cannot guarantee additional sessions. If any additional sessions are posted, I will send an message to the mini session mailing list. Please email me if you would like to be added to the list.
